Week 10 is here. It’s going to be cold, wet, and miserable, so teams better bring their running game. This is the time of the year where teams either close the gap, or fall back. Let’s see the teams with heart, as we push for playoff seatings.

(3-5) Detroit Lions v (5-3) Chicago Bears

I’m not falling for this mistake again. This looks like the perfect pick for an upset, but I’m done trusting the Lions. I’m taking the Bears.

(7-1) New Orleans Saints v (5-3) Cincinnati Bengals

I don’t think it matters that this game is on the road, when this Saints team is hot, they are unstoppable. And right now they are hot. This team is my favorite for winning the entire thing. But if there ever is a game where an upset can happen, it’s this one. But I see the Saints taking care of business. With the Panthers losing Thursday night, they are going to do what they can to keep some distance between them and the Panthers.

(4-4) Atlanta Falcons v (2-6-1) Cleveland Browns

Atlanta has a great opportunity to get to 5-4. They are playing the Browns, who fired their coach a few weeks ago. And the Browns are playing a rookie quarterback. For the Falcons, this is a game they have to have for a number of reasons, starting with having a chance to still make the playoffs.

(3-5) Jacksonville Jaguars v (3-5) Indianapolis Colts

Wow, the Colts have a chance at having a better record, and a higher division standing after this game. I can’t help but remember the pre-season smack talk by Jalen Ramsey. To be fair, Jalen is still playing hard out there, and making plays. He can’t throw the passes and score the touchdowns as well. Here are two 3-5 division rivals looking for this game to be the catalyst in figuring things out, and hoping to go on a run.

(2-6) Arizona Cardinals v (8-1) Kansas City Chiefs

This is a lopsided game. This is the game that everyone overlooks but the sports betters. Since that is not us, we will be overlooking this game as well. Not much to talk about here.

(2-7) Buffalo Bills v (3-6) New York Jets

The Jets know what this is, they are not expecting this team to do much this year. They are giving Sam Darnold some quality reps to learn and build upon. These are the games that a team find its playmakers, and key pieces to keep in the locker room. A foundation is being built, and this is what a team and fanbase look back upon when they are a few years down the road competing in the playoffs. So stay patient Jets fans, you could be a few years away from yelling “J!E!T!S! JETS, JETS, JETS” in the playoffs.

(5-3) Washington Redskins v (3-5) Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Redskins have to be relieved they are in the NFC East right now. But if they do not get back winning, they are going to find themselves sitting at home come January. The Eagles and Cowboys are within striking distance. And the Cowboys actually have the talent to make a run. And while the Redskins are hearing the footsteps of the Eagles and Cowboys, they are having to play a Buccaneers team that is better than their record shows. The Buccaneers have the ability to score, and do so quick. In almost every game they lost this year, they made a comeback run to give them a chance to win.

(7-2) New England Patriots v (4-4) Tennessee Titans

The last time Bill Belichick played against a coach from his tree, he lost (losing to the Lions 26-10 in Week 3). Now Belichick travels to Nashville to take on former player Mike Vrabel. For the first matchup between player and former coach, Mike Vrabel will look to copy the game plan that helped Matt Patricia beat the Patriots.

(6-2) Los Angeles Chargers v (1-7) Oakland Raiders

There isn’t anymore doubt on what Gruden is doing with the Raiders. He unloaded pricey veterans to rebuild from the draft. A move that could be more beneficial in the long run. Without the Raiders top defender and receiver, this game will not be challenging for the Chargers.

(5-4) Miami Dolphins v (3-4-1) Green Bay Packers

Those Miami boys are traveling to Green Bay, where the temperatures will be at 30 degrees at game time. And they will be playing an underachieving Packers team, that still have Aaron Rodgers at the helm. A Packers team that still can make the playoffs, if they make a run here.

(4-4) Seattle Seahawks v (8-1) Los Angeles Rams

Last week, the Rams suffered their first loss of the season. But the Rams have a chance to take out their frustrations on the division rival Seahawks. A game that a few years back favored the Seahawks, what a turn of events as the Rams are the favored in this game.

Sunday Night Game: (3-5) Dallas Cowboys v (4-4) Philadelphia Eagles

Looking at this game, one would be forgiven to forget that the Eagles are the SB champions. Yet here we are with the Eagle at a turning point. The Cowboys, on the other hand, find themselves at their own turning point. Adding top receiver, Amari Cooper, the Cowboys have the talent to make a run. That is if the Cowboys can remember that they have a solid running game, something they forgot about in their loss to the Titans.

Monday Night Game: (1-7) New York Giants v (2-7) San Francisco 49ers

I won’t be predicting this game, as I have a bias. I will say that as much as I love my niners, how are they on Monday Night. This is not a showcase game. This is where flex schedule pundits point to the reason for flex scheduling. The Giants and 49ers may have been a marquee matchup a few years ago, or back in the 80s and 90s, but they sure are not a marquee matchup now. This is a game for a top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, a game that only fans of the two teams look forward to watching. Nick Mullen will look to show that his first game wasn’t a fluke, go Niners.
