No surprise here that Google will maintain their exclusivity with Verizon for their upcoming Pixel 3 and 3XL.

Having a store front set up with the nation’s largest carrier is never a bad idea. Those wanting an unlocked phone will still be able to purchase it through Google. Just expect back orders and delays. Something that plagued Google since the Nexus 6. Though I have to admit they did better last year.

I’m not as critical of this move as I was when Google first announced their exclusive deal with Verizon with the Pixel. It’s a smart business move to control inventory.
