Next month Google will announce their latest Pixel phone, the Pixel 4. But quietly they will be launching a drone delivery service through their company Alphabet Wing. Partnered with Walgreen, they will deliver food, drinks, and non prescription medicines to customers in the Christiansburg, Virginia area.

Now this is not a new feat for the drone delivery service as they have been trying this out in other countries. People in Australia are divided as it is providing opportunities for small businesses while causing neighbors to show concern and frustrations over noise and privacy concerns.

Will this launch in Christianburg, Virginia open up this industry to more cities, or will this prove why drone deliveries will never work?

We will continue covering the progress of Alphabet’s drone delivery service and other delivery services launched by other companies.
