The Motorola Razr was one of Motorola’s most famous and successful phones. Its slick design made it an iconic phone that still remain at the top of some lists for the top phones ever. Verizon made an attempt to bring it back as a Droid phone 8 years ago. But still it missed that one thing that was able to capture the nostalgia of the Razr.

According to leaks, we may soon get a Razr done right. Motorola and Verizon’s first folding phone may be possibly one of the best reiterations of the Razr. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Fold that folds from the landscape mode, this phone will fold portrait to resemble that feel that you are holding a clamshell phone. Though this phone may not be a powerhouse in the form of specs (Snapdragon 710 vs 855 and both 4GB and 6GB RAM models), it will boast 9.0 Pie out of the box. And the near stock android software known for being on Motorola phones as of late, will make this phone feel as smooth as a high end flagship.

I can see this being a hit for people who like that clamshell design. There are a number of people still holding on to their old flip phones, and this could indeed be the device to pull those customers over to a true smartphone.
