Been quite an interesting week this week. Had Samsung just light the stage up with a host of phones as well as some other key news, but let’s get started with Samsung.
So Samsung did their thing announcing 4 phones starting with the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G. A phone with a 6.9 inch 120 Hz refresh rate display, 108MP camera, 100X Space Zoom, a 5000mAh battery, ability to shoot 8K video, and starting at $1400. Following that is the S20+ and the S20 5G with a 64 MP camera, 30X Space Zoom, and has a 6.7-inch display 4500 mAh battery, and a 6.2-inch display 4000mAh battery respectively. The S20+ will cost around $1350 and the S20 $1000.
The other phone announced was the Galaxy Z Flip. A folding phone that many have been anticipating and advertised by Samsung as being a glass display. And having flagship-level specs, compared to the Motorola Razr 2020, for $1350. A very impressive phone indeed, but JerryRig uncovered that the glass display is not really glass. Something that is shown in his video below.
In other tech news MWC 2020 has been canceled because of concerns for safety as a result of the Coronavirus. The Judge approves the merger between Sprint and T-Mobile, Essential will be ceasing operations and no more Essential phones will be coming to the market, and Huawei is facing charges of racketeering and conspiracy.
In the world of entertainment, I checked out the XFL Saturday. And honestly, it was ok. Not something that would be a must-watch, but something to have playing in the background while getting some work done.
the neXup Insider:
So this week I decided to do something different. I wanted to play around with the idea of making a different style of a tech video. So that morning I woke up with dialogue in mind that I jotted into Google Keep. By that afternoon I was testing some location ideas and direction where I was going to film, initially looking to film this outside. Eventually, it was decided to move the production inside. And after several takes and editing, we have what is below.
I personally enjoyed this because it was something different and I had fun both filming and acting out the roles. I am currently thinking of ideas to further build on making more content like that in the future.
That wraps up this week in review for the neXup website. I look forward to seeing what pops off in tech this week, and as always have a good week.
