No, I haven’t been sleeping. I am aware that there were photos leaked showing the pixel 3 in all its fame. It’s not that I didn’t care, I was just crazy busy. But now that I had the chance to take a breath, here are my thoughts.

I might be staying home for this year’s Pixel launch. This is a phone that I don’t know who to recommend it to. I mean if you have the original pixel then it will definitely be an upgrade for you guys. But unlike other Android phones, you know pixel phones get updates. So it may be better to snag the 2XL and save some money.

Not to sound like a broken record, but this phone do not feel like an upgrade. The Pixel 3 is the phone that Google (style wise) should have released last year. Without the RAM upgrade this phone is pretty much last year’s phone. I don’t know how anyone can justify the upgrade.

But Google could yet again pull some magic out of their hat. In the same way they have dominated the camera game the past two years, they could be gearing up to do that with both the selfie cam and facial unlock. Remember, Google was the first to face unlock with ice cream sandwich on the Galaxy Nexus.

So, as much as I have lost interest in this phone. Google could indeed surprise me.
