One of the litmus tests I wanted to see with Stadia was whether Google could handle a big release on a major property on the same day as other platforms and if the pricing would be the same. So the game I was eying was MK 11 Aftermath. For one, that was my goto game on Stadia, and it also captured some attention surrounding the update. So up until release, I was a little concerned as other platforms announced they were getting it, but I didn’t see anything for Stadia. But then the day came and this is what we got.

The day was here. The morning started, stocks checked, and no Aftermath. Other platforms had it but not Stadia. So I asked about it on Stadia Discord, to which I was reminded that Google being on the west coast may not see it ready until 9 AM PST. Sure enough 9 on the dot PST it was ready to play. No download needed, no waiting, just buy and play. And compared to the Playstation Store, the games were priced the same. So for me, this adds another notch to why I am ready to start taking Google and their Stadia platform more seriously.
