I was at a T-Mobile store where they had a LG G7 Thinq not tethered to anything. The rep allowed me to play around with it a bit and I have to say that I may have been quick to jump on Google and the notch design. Having used it in hand it actually was pleasant to use. And the screen was not that bad (to be fair I have been using a Pixel 2XL since October). I’m still going to maintain some of my criticism for Google at the moment as I would have liked them to be more bold and release a phone like the Lenovo Z5. All screen and thin bezels. But until we see how that fairs for Lenovo Z5 users on a daily basis with drops, mic locations, camera location, and so on, we may be wanting to jump on a design that will fail to work.

I’ll spend some more time with the G7 Thinq and see how that fairs with my opinions about the upcoming Pixel 3Xl (rumored) designs.
