The Merc with a mouth is back in the much anticipated sequel. The first movie provided a breath of fresh air and humor to the superhero genre and this movie looked to pick up where it left off.
The humor, the blood, and the loud mouth swearing antihero continues his stint in this movie. But he is joined by X Force and has to deal with Cable. This movie is not the shock and awe you got with the first movie. The story at times felt not interesting and the humor dry. With that said I think fans of the movie will leave feeling like they got their money’s worth.
I echo the sentiment that it was an OK movie but not great. Coming off Black Panther and Infinity War I was hoping this movie continued the ride I had with the comicbook genre. I wasn’t expecting it to be what Infinity War was but I was hoping for a better advancement in the story. Overall I am alright with the movie but I will not see it again in theaters. In comparison I saw Justice League twice, Black Panther 3 times, and Infinity War twice in theater. My rating is a 3.25 out of 5. A movie for the Deadpool comic fans that is just ok for the average viewer.
